Manjushri - Jyambheyang means “charming splendor” is the Bodhisatwa of wisdom and literature, and is shown in yellow, white, red and black forms, with two lotus blossoms as his attributes, with the sword (sometimes flaming) of knowledge in his right and the book of transcendent wisdom (Prajna Paramita) in his left hand incarnate in king thisong Deuchan and in Tsongkhapa. Manjushri is known as ‘God of Divine wisdom”, whose worship confers Mastery of the Dharma, retentive memory, mental perfection and eloquence. In Nepal, he is considered the Founder of Nepalese civilization and the creator of Kathmandu Valley. According to the tradition, he was a Chinese Saint. He carries the Sword of wisdom and light in his right hand and Prajna Paramita Manuscript”. The book of Divine wisdom’ on his left the Lotus blossom. His left timid will be in preaching gesture. People believe that the worship of Manjushri can confer upon them wisdom, memory, intelligence etc.
